Ordinarily, “all-round development of the child” is considered the primary component of good education. This is generally understood as academic competence combined with personality development. A school that provides a strong academic environment along with opportunities in sports and co-curricular activities truly reflects the spirit of good education.

Compared to day schools, boarding schools are fortunate to have the time, inclination, and infrastructure to provide greater opportunities for the overall development of children. Students benefit from a structured routine that includes physical training, sports, hobbies, and various co-curricular activities, helping them develop confidence, discipline, and strong personalities.

Such a well-balanced schedule of activities undoubtedly contributes to quality education. However, I personally believe that education must go beyond academic success and personality development; it must also focus on building character and values.

The modern world is progressing at an extraordinary pace, yet people often have little time for each other. Greed, selfishness, intolerance, corruption, and fierce competition have become increasingly common. In such times, we must pause and reflect on whether we can truly call our children “well educated.”

Unfortunately, the moral and spiritual aspects of education are often overlooked. Schools rarely emphasize teaching children how to be good human beings rather than merely successful individuals.

While we may succeed in producing wealthy and successful individuals, we must also strive to nurture happy, compassionate, and responsible human beings. Traditional institutions such as home, school, and society must work together to instill these essential values.

I strongly believe that SIRS is moving in the right direction, guiding students toward becoming both successful and morally grounded individuals.

Good Luck 👍
